Virtual Education Course

ASAP Education offers live distance education and learning opportunities to students that are not located within a reasonable distance to attend in person.  With the use of state-of-the-art platforms for secure video conferencing ASAP Education will be able to provide you with a convenient and seamless experience to participate and complete your educational goals.  Participating students will be required to video conference either through their own laptop/computer (with camera capabilities) or camera capable phone.  Live participation will be required to receive class credit hours towards credentialing and licensure.

 

ASAP Education virtual students will participate in all learning activities and scheduled video conference time.  As with all student's, assignments and projects will be expected to be completed on time.  Participation in virtual classroom discussion and group projects as applicable will be required in order to receive credit towards licesure and obtain the knowledge and skills taught by professionals in the field to be successful in the field.  
 

Course Requirements

  • Virtual students must be comfortable with and enjoy communicating in writting
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Access to a computer or phone with audio and video capabilities
  • Reliable internet access
  • Active email account
  • WI State picture ID (Our Course does not currently qualify for other States)
  • Advance purchase of all required Reading material
  • Payment of all course fees in advance

Instructor Contact

ASAP Education instructors are available throughout the day to receive and respond to email communications and voice messages during normal business hours.  Our instructors strive to connect the same day.  Students should expect in most cases, responses in less than 24 hours but influences such as time of submital, weekends, holidays, vacations may influence this.  Students may also schedule phone calls, or if needed commute to the physical instruction site for assistance.

Student Evaluation

ASAP Education Instructors will evaluate students by asking them to apply their skills acquired in class by applying them to real world situations in the field of addiction counseling affording them the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding and use of concepts taught.  Using performance-based assessment, standardized testing and projects will allow students to demonstrate their mastery of Intake skills, counseling, treatment planning, treatment implementation and professional readiness.

Student Absences

Students will be responsible for contacting and informing their instructor in advance of class absence and make up requirements.
